That was my first choice but the muscle car was the compromise with the wife.

If you want thrills get a V12 XJS, couple of grand will do you for that.
Never, ever, EVER hit the accelerator when it is even remotely damp, the back end always has a very fraught relationship with the front and they often storm off in different directions.
Or a 3ltr Capril? Put on a chassis designed to carry about half the horsepower.
Think of them as the classy way to commit suicide.

Somthing to do with 350/500 horsepower in a car that weighs less than a tonne , no traction control , no abs , no airbags , bit of rain and you will soon be faing the Wong way

Got curious and looked it up
Part of the companies failure was down to the fact that John DeLorean was arrested ( later acquitted on a technicality) for trafficking cocaine.

Not a bad one to have. Great though not that practical car. It's story (the car company's in general) has something to do with cocaine but I cant remember exactly what, off the top of my head.
Quintessentially 80's.

I like it in black. (Starlight Black to be precise)
Though the one I got to drive a bit was the original orange (called Carousel Red for some reason) so I have a soft spot for it as well.
I worked at car museum during my first couple of summers at uni.

None of the above
1969 Pontiac GTO with the Judge option package
Under 7000 made, just over $3000 original price.
RAM Air IV V-8, 400 cid that gave 370 hpw.

Had a Cobra, almost unusable in anything other than blazing sunshine. Also, with Jag running gear, tend to be overbraked. I couldn't get enough of the noise though.

Re: Muscle Cars

If new ones then mustang convertible
No better sounding engine than an American V8
Depending on budget etc and assuming it won't be a daily driver consider an AC Cobra rep , they won't deprecate as much
